The BlueRobotics Fathom Spool - Large (300m) is a robust and user-friendly tether spool designed for the Fathom and Fathom Slim ROV tethers. It features an integrated slip ring that facilitates connections for up to eight tether wires, even while the spool is in motion. The spool is engineered for quick setup and operation under various conditions, boasting full IP67 water resistance to ensure splash-proof reliability. Its reversible locking handle enhances portability.

The spool is equipped with an adjustable drag brake, allowing precise control over resistance during spooling and unspooling. Additionally, a locking mechanism on the spool side panels secures the tether during transport. The crank handle can be easily removed and reinstalled with a single thumb screw, simplifying transportation and locking of the spool.

The Fathom Spool is provided as a partially-assembled kit, requiring minimal assembly. It includes a Binder 77 connector on both the inner and outer sides of the spool. To install the tether, one simply plugs it into the inner Binder 77 connector, attaches a few restraints, and begins spooling. An 8-meter extension cable is included, facilitating a connection from the outer connector on the spool to the FXTI and computer.

The Fathom Spool is available in two configurations: a standard width version capable of storing up to 150 meters of Fathom ROV tether, and a double-wide large version capable of storing up to 300 meters.
